Pay day feature
Used to analyse and plan your finances.
A "pay-day" can be set up, individually for any bank.
Example: For your current account, the month starts with your pay crediting your account.
Run the Standing Orders program. All Standing Orders and Direct Debits which are due for payment from Pay day to the day before next pay Day are processed. Transactions are created automatically in your latest un-reconciled statement.
Purpose: To manage your protracted expenditure over the entire month.
Avert bank charges.

More about setting up Standing Orders and Direct Debit Payments and Regular Payments.
These can be set up as Debits OR Credits and:
Payable each month. (e.g. Mortgage Payments)
Payable at regular intervals (e.g. Once every 3 months= 4 payments per year etc)
Per user requests, can now do Weekly, Bi-Weekly and 4 weekly regular payments.
Indefinite (e.g. Salary Payments-hopefully!)
Fixed duration (e.g. Repaying a Bank Loan with 36 payments, one per month)
Account, Payable to/Received from, Debit or Credit, Amount, Start Date, Payments etc

Changes to payments:
Enter date change comes into effect, and new Payment amount.
Current payment amount used until Change Date.
Payment automatically applied and changed on/after Change Date.
Example: This feature allows you to set up all the payments for an Insurance agreement, where you pay one initial payment of one value, followed by 9 payments of another value. The change date can be set to be the date of the second payment, at the value of the second payment.

More about Analysing your Transactions.
In one easy entry query screen, you can Select/Enter:
From/To dates
One Bank Account, multiple Bank Accounts or a Group of Bank Accounts.
One Expenditure Category, multiple Categories, or a Group of Expendture Categories
Select a Display order from a pop-up (Select from: By Cheque Date, By Amount, by Paid To, by Spent On, By Account x Cheque No)
Select All, Credits Only or Debits Only from a pop-up.
Then GO!

Click a Print button for a hard copy of any listing resulting from your settings above.

Working with transactions
Predictive text - when manually entering transactions - entering a few characters of a Payee will bring up a list of previous Payees beginning with those characters - click to select and autofill the Payee name.
Bank Genie applies the Expense Code used for the previous transaction (you can over-ride)

You can also add a new transaction by duplicating an existing transaction. You can go back a statement, copy a transaction, return to original page and duplicate. This is very useful when you have a regular shop and the expense item is to be coded to the same “Paid To” name and the same Expense Code.

Automatic generation of unique Transaction references (based on transaction date) when the transaction is not a cheque.

The BACK button, for jumping between accounts
Since you will frequently need to look at a statement in another account, your statement number, or "position", is saved if you make another selection. View the other account, then use a "Back" button to return to the original account, at the precise "position".
Purpose: Reduces hunting for Banks and Statement Numbers.

The RECENT pop-up
Each time you select a new account, the position (Bank Account&Statement No) is added to a "Recent" list.
Select from the "Recent" pop-up to re-visit an account, at the precise statement as last viewed.
Purpose: Reduces hunting for Banks and Statement Numbers.
