purposes only. It serve to illustrate how YOU can document YOUR garden and garden areas, and the plants in those areas.
About this database.
This database is included on the Ideas Genie distribution CD.
Brian Denison is a member of The Hardy Plant Society in England. He sent me a CD with a Powerpoint presentation he had given to his branch of the Hardy Plant society.
I extracted the photos from this presentation for use in the database.
Later, Brian sent me a complete listing of his database in Access format.
I transferred the data from the Access database into an Ideas Genie database.
Brian had information associated with his plants. I was able to map the data fields (e.g. Height, Spread, Flowering Times,
Plant data etc) into equivalent fields in Ideas Genie.
I have repeated this service for other clients:
For Covington Water Distrct, Seattle, WA, two databases, in Excel and Word, were
converted and merged into one database, with their identities preserved as different gardens, a feature of the software.
NOTE: Ideas Genie must be purchased and registered to view any database in the SWAP library.
